WWE NXT returned last night from Orlando, Fla. Recall that last week, Nikki Cross controversially stole the NXT Women’s Championship title from the reigning champion, Shayna Baszler. Last night, the show opened with Nikki Cross forcing Baszler on the run.

Both Cross and Baszler engaged in a momentary fisticuff, with the former getting the upper, forcing Baszler to retreat.
It later confirmed that Nikki Cross will face the NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler for the title at WWE NXT TakeOver: Chicago.
The Mighty def. Mike Hughley & Robbie Grand
Shane Thorne & Nick Miller od The Mighty impressively toppled the duo of Mike Hughley & Robbie Grand with ruthless abandon.
The Mighty employed all within their arsenal to gun down their opponent, deploying several wicked maneuvers and illegal blows, and in the end, Miller got the victory after a sucker punch on Robbie from Thorne.
Roderick Strong def. Danny Burch
Danny got an early edge after he managed to connect with a perfect humongous lariat on Strong. That made the Undisputed ERA team members Adam Cole & Kyle O’Reilly to jump on the ring apron in an attempt to distract Danny. Their interference forced Lorcan and U.K. Champion Pete Dunne out to the ring, leading into a brawl with Cole & O’Reilly.
The distraction continued until moments after a distracted Burch turned his attention back on the waiting Strong, who just planted him on a backbreaker for the victory.
Kairi Sane def. Lacey Evans
Lacey Evans wanted to continue with her mind games on Evans, but this time, she failed as Sane from rejecting a supposed ‘friendly’ handshake offer from Evans to withstanding her early offensive moves, a torture on her stomach and an attempt to suffocate her with the Cobra Clutch.
As the match progressed, Sane managed to dodge a Moonsault from the top of the rope from Lacey, to connect with a trifecta of Interceptor spears, before landing a combo of a Sliding D forearm and the flying kabuki elbow.
Though Evans refused to stay down and even attempted a comeback, Sane dropped her with the Alabama Slam, before sealing the victory with the Insane Elbow.
Johnny Gargano snapped, unleashed a brutal attack on Tommaso Ciampa
Johnny Gargano and Ciampa have no love for one another, and after Ciampa promised last night to end the “Gargano fairytale” at WWE NXT TakeOver: Chicago. Gargano stormed the ring after several verbal attacks on him from Ciampa, leading into a heated brawl.
Both men battled to the outside, and back into the ring before Ciampa managed to lock in Gargano’ signature maneuver on him, the Gargano Escape. Despite the officials attempt to separate both superstars, their brawl went on until Gargano dropped Ciampa head-first into the LED boards, forcing open Ciampa forehead.
Even as Gargano started to bleed profusely, Gargano continued his attack, locking in the Gargano Escape.
