Daniel Bryan attacking Big Cass on the ring post

WWE SmackDown Live aired from London last night. Daniel Bryan kicked off the show to address his loss to Rusev last week in the men’s MITB qualifying match. The disappointed Bryan was clear to state that his loss wouldn’t deter him from going ahead and finding another way to fight back and become a WWE Champion.

Daniel Bryan snapped on Big Cass

Big Cass, however, decided to interrupt the Yes! man. Cass went on to degrade Bryan and throw all sorts of disrespect, taking a swipe on Bryan’s family as he suggested that Bryan should go home and “let Brie wear the pants.”

When Big Cass eventually joined Bryan in the ring, the irate Daniel pounced on him like a rabid dog. Daniel targetted the seven-footers knee, locking it hard on the ring post before putting him into the painful Heel Hook. The officials finally ran into the ring to help stop the brawl and save the already injured Cass.

The New Day def. The Bar to earn one member of their team a place in the MITB

The New Day and The Bar locked horns last night on WWE SmackDown LIVE, with a stipulation that whichever team that wins gets the opportunity to feature one member of its group at the men’s MITB Ladder Match.

Big E & Xavier Woods took the fight to Sheamus & Cesaro, and despite The Bar’s unrelenting efforts, in the end, Big E speared Sheamus off the apron to the arena floor, and on the inside, Xavier Woods planted Cesaro with the Flying Elbow for the win.

Andrade “Cien” Almas def. local competitor

The former WWE NXT Champion Andrade “Cien” Almas and his manager Vega debuted on WWE SmackDown Live last night. Cien was faced with a local competitor, and with no time wasted, he put up an outstanding performance to the entertainment of the WWE Universe before putting his opponent away with the brutal Hammerlock DDT for the 1-2-3 counts.

Carmella again held a Royal Mellabration

WWE SmackDown Live Women’s Champion Carmella held her Royal Mellabration before the London fans with fanfare and demanded that they cheer and bow before her. Carmella went on to claim that she was better than every current female Superstar and WWE legends like Trish Stratus & Lita combined.

SmackDown Live GM Paige made her way out having heard enough from the reigning champ to inform her that she should start getting ready for her title defense at MITB against the Empress of Tomorrow, Asuka.

Becky Lynch def. Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville in a Women’s Money in the Bank Qualifying Match

Recall that Paige had informed Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville that Absolution was completely dead, which even led to Deville questioning ‘who the hell Paige thinks she is on Social Media?’ Well, the SmackDown Live General Manager decided to put the two against each other and Becky Lynch in a Triple Threat Match for an opportunity at the Women’s MITB ladder match.

All three women went against each other, with Rose and Deville eventually keeping their friendship on the side. Becky Lynch managed, in the end, to secure the victory after connecting with the Dis-arm for the tap out.

Shinsuke Nakamura def. AJ Styles

The stipulation in this match was that the winner gets the opportunity to pick the stipulation for their WWE Title match at WWE Money in the Bank. This two familiar rivals, WWE Champion AJ Styles, and Shinsuke Nakamura threw all in their arsenal in order to get the chance.

Both superstars went back-and-forth with several counters and hard hits. At some point, AJ almost planted the devastating Phenomenal Forearm on the referee after Nakamura docked from it. Nakamura, of course, planted Styles with a low blow behind the referee and ironically started pretending to be the one hit by the cheap shot.

The referee who from experience had seen both superstars go low at many occasions started questioning Styles and that distracted AJ long enough for Nakamura to drop him with the back suplex and then planted him with a brutal Kinshasa for the win.
